Hendrick's Kanaracuni Gin
Hendrick’s newest special edition gin gains its pronounced originality from the depths of the Amazon rainforest. Master distiller Lesley Gracie and a small team set off last year into the heart of Venezuela’s Guayana Highlands in search of a botanical they would instill into a small batch of their gin: so small in fact, that only 560 bottles are being made. Throughout the ten-day expedition, Gracie tested dozens of barks and plants, searching for the perfect one to compliment the subtleties of the gin. Scorpion’s Tail, a small flowering plant, was finally chosen. The infusion of this botanical culminated in the creation of Hendrick’s Kanaracuni, named after the village they camped in during their expedition. These very limited bottles will not be available for retail, meaning anyone hoping for a drink themselves may have to journey through the rainforest as well.
